Renew University

Renew University, a branch from Renew.org, is an organization that works to provide affordable online courses that help to create a safe environment to  discuss and learn more about the Bible. This is a new project for Renew.org so they were in need of  a new website for Renew University!

First, it was established that in terms of brand colors this would mirror Renew.org and mimic how they approached ADA accessibility for their color treatments and such. As for the sitemap, this was kept fairly simple for now as they intend to only have 1-2 courses active at a time in their beginning stages of growth. In terms of imagery, the client provided a few assets but new stock imagery was also acquired and used where needed.

After design elements were decided we then created the design drafts within Figma. As the design was being created, custom icons were also developed to pair with the site’s aesthetic and color scheme. Once we received approval for the web design we then moved forward with building out the site within WordPress using the Elementor theme and builder.

In order to handle the course setup desired by the client we utilized a program called LearnDash and worked within this to create simple but stylized course pages that melded smoothly into the rest of the site design established.
