Hot Shot Services is an organization that provides transportation and warehouse management services for businesses of varying sizes. While they previously had a basic website before, their company growth demanded for them to invest in a new web design that showcased their services with clear information for their clients. They also wanted to show more animations and imagery on their site to give a more modern and approachable feeling for their clients.
With this project we first focused on creating a clear sitemap that would cover all of the subpages the client wanted to include in a streamline and logical way. After the sitemap was finalized we then moved to creating design layouts for a few select pages within Figma to get a good understanding of how everything will appear as well as function in terms of where links and buttons should be placed throughout pages. Color wise, we focused on their established brand colors and also focused on using imagery provided directly from the client.
After designs were approved we then moved to building the website in WordPress using the Divi theme. I was in charge of the front-end build for this web design and was able to work directly with the client to plan out imagery placement and also go over naming for the imagery so that we could create appropriate ALT tags for SEO. Several carousels and sliders were used throughout the website in order to show the different vehicles, machinery, and warehousing solution examples at Hot Shot Services.
