The independent song artist, Emily Vu, begins to expand into merchandising and with this needs graphics to be created. Her desire was to have a this work, the EVUSZN Butterfly, illustrated in order to use this as part of her self branding.
This butterfly was, in the beginning, idealized as something to be a little more “edgy” and almost styled like graphite. Later on this graphic evolved and was refined into a simplified and modern illustration of a classic butterfly that can be used for both black and white shirts that will be printed and sold to fans.

With the purple butterfly alternative below, custom type was illustrated to pair with each butterfly in order to make a more cohesive experience for the overall look.
