Rotary LA5 is one of the oldest and well known Rotary Clubs in the world. As they continue their nonprofit work to uplift the community they were in need of moving away from their old Drupal website and updating their design to be more user friendly, modern, and easy to navigate for members.
With all this in mind, we discussed the best ways to use the Rotary brand colors and imagery to maintain good ADA and SEO for the site. The navigation was also slightly altered to better organize some of the community service pages.
After the initial design elements were determined the web design was created within Figma and then built in WordPress using the Divi theme.
The Event Calendar and the Divi Calendar plugins were used together to create a customized event pages and calendar for the site. We also worked to create gravity forms for member forms for applications for membership or service opportunities.
